Book spine frames in progress. Still trying to figure out how to make them look nice, which is the trickiest part of anything I suppose.
Books pre-gutting.
Books post-gutting. I'm saving all the covers and the text blocks in case I can use them for anything. Hoping to make some sort of composition using the covers, or handing them over to a roommate for sketchbook covers. What I plan to do with the text blocks will have to remain a surprise!!
Frame in progress. This is actually the second one I worked on, and the spine length fit the frame better so I think it looks more clean.
First completed frame, still lacking glass and backing, both of which I will have to cut and construct. I'm nervous about cutting the glass myself, but I already have the tools from building an aquarium so I figure I better suck it up!!
